The speculation is finally over… the all-new 2017 Jeep Compass has been revealed and does it look slick! It’ll be available at our North New Jersey dealership location with either a Gloss Black painted roof or a dual-pane sunroof to give you an open-air driving experience.
Some of the other design changes for the updated Compass include:
- Jeep signature 7-slot grille with individual chrome slots set in a Gloss Black field
- Headlamp bezels with black outline
- Clamshell hood with double break line & center bulge
- Slim rectangular LED tail lamps
There are more changes to the Compass model than just its appearance.
Introducing the 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk
The Jeep Compass has joined its Cherokee, Renegade and Grand Cherokee siblings in getting a Trailhawk model! It’s made for taking trips on most any terrain, whether it’s camping with the family or taking your boat to the ocean.
Some of the exclusive features of the Trail Rated 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk include:
- Selec-Terrain with an added Rock mode
- Selec-Speed Control with hill-descent control
- Unique fascia design
- Jeep signature red front & rear tow hooks
- Skid plates
- 17” off-road tires
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk gives you an almost-1” increased ride height, 30° approach angle, 24° breakover angle, 34° departure angle and up to 19” of water fording. Additionally, you can tow up to 2,000 lbs of cargo to bring your favorite off-road vehicles along for the ride.
Even More Capability Than Before
The 2017 Compass combines everything you desire for an efficient daily commuter with a versatile SUV that can take you anywhere. Depending on where and how you drive, you can get up to an EPA-estimated 30 mpg in the Compass.
That’s because of the use of a 180-hp 2.4L Tigershark 4-cylinder that comes with Engine Stop-Start. This technology conserves fuel by turning the engine off when the Compass is stopped in bumper-to-bumper traffic or at a light.
Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low, the latter offering a 20:1 crawl ratio for better low-speed throttle response, are the 2 4WD choices you can get for the 2017 Jeep Compass. You get the Jeep Selec-Terrain system either way and it lets you switch between Auto, Snow, Sand, Rock (Trailhawk only) and Mud modes so you can get the most controlled ride.
Loads of Technology Inside
You’ll also notice that the all-new Compass gives you some extra features for your convenience. One that you’ll enjoy is the power liftgate, which comes in real handy when you’re carrying a full load of groceries, sports equipment or something large for your next party with both hands.
We’re also excited that the 4th-generation Uconnect infotainment system equips both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Whether you own an iPhone or an Android, you can integrate your smartphone to make calls, send texts, get directions, listen to your music and more.
We know safety is a top concern when choosing an SUV. Good thing the Compass now offers over 70 safety and security features including:
- Forward Collision Warning-Plus
- LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus
- Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection
- ParkView rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines
- 7 standard airbags
The 2017 Jeep Compass should be arriving to the Bergen and Rockland County area in the very near future, so please contact our team to learn more about this all-new SUV!
